If your family pet is travelling with you abroad , there are a number of things that need to be taken care of well in advance of your travelling date.

These include:

* Obtaining a department of agriculture issued Pet Passport from your local vet
* Rabies Vaccination at least one month prior to travel
* Your pet must be microchipped


There may be other requirements for pet travel depending if the country you are travelling to is within the EU or not.
