Flea & Worm Control

Parasites are organisms that feed on (ectoparasites) or within
(endoparasites) other animals.
Parasites come in many different shapes & sizes.
Fleas, ticks, mites and lice are the most common ectoparasites that
affect our pets in Ireland.
Intestinal parasites are extremely common endoparasites affecting
dogs and cats but especially puppies and kittens.
The harm from parasites to a pet’s health can range from minor
irritation to serious conditions. Heavy burdens can make your pet feel
miserable and their weakened immune systems leave them open to
contracting other diseases.
Not only do they harm our pets but are also a risk to you and your
family.

At Family Vets Athlone we consider prevention better than cure when it comes to parasite control. We stock a wide range of products  on prescription for your pet.
